The IRS never calls. First contact would be by mail only. So many scams out there.
My parents got the same call. My mom knew immediately it was a scam, both from the way the person spoke and mainly from the fact that the IRS ONLY contacts people by postal mail.
But yeah, I’ve heard of folks falling for this. It’s a despicable scam.
Just got a call as well. Waste of time and energy. I can’t imagine people fall for this.
